YGN Tour: Springfields Nuclear Fuel Fabrication Event Image

FULLY BOOKED - please email events@nuclearinst.com to be added to the waiting list.

This tour of Springfields gives attendees the opportunity to visit the only UK nuclear fuel fabrication facility. The facility produces uranium dioxide pellets and fuel assemblies which fuel Advanced Gas Reactors (AGR) and Light Water Reactors (LWR). Springfields is crucial in supporting a significant portion of the UK’s low-carbon electricity generation.

This free tour aims to provide an insight into the design and operation of the nuclear fuel fabrication facility.

There are only 19 places available for this tour, and priority will be given to Nuclear Institute Young Generation Network (YGN) members. Registrants who are not YGN members will be added to the waiting list.
