The SMASH research team, based in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield, is a welcoming group made up of Postdoctoral Research Associates, PhD students, MEng/MSc researchers, and undergraduate researchers.
The session will provide an introduction to SMASH’s work, highlighting current research activities and the team’s approach to developing sustainable materials and processes.
The key speaker is Dr Brant Walkley , a Senior Lecturer in Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield, where he leads the Sustainable Materials at Sheffield (SMASH) research team. His work focuses on developing sustainable materials and processes for infrastructure, environmental remediation, and clean energy, particularly in cement and concrete technologies.
