From Framework to Delivery: Nuclear Institute Partners with NextGen Nuclear Summit
Earlier this year, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) finalised the UK’s New Advanced Nuclear Framework—establishing a clear pathway for privately led nuclear projects, alongside access to revenue models, risk reduction mechanisms, and closer regulatory engagement.
At a critical point for delivery, the Nuclear Institute is proud to announce its official media partnership with The NextGen Nuclear Summit, taking place on June 11 at the Storey Club, London.
The summit is designed to turn this policy framework into real projects.
Its agenda brings together government, regulators, investors, developers, and technology providers to address the key challenges set out in the framework—from regulation and licensing through to financing, project development, and deployment at scale.
Key discussions will focus on:
● Accelerating regulatory pathways and deployment timelines
● Unlocking private capital and scalable financing models
● Connecting nuclear developers with industrial and data centre demand
● Building repeatable project pipelines for SMRs, AMRs, and fusion
As the UK nuclear pipeline grows, the need for skilled professionals, strong standards, and public confidence becomes increasingly important.
As the professional membership body for the sector, the Nuclear Institute plays a central role in supporting this growth—through its Nuclear Professionalism Standard (NPS), which underpins the development, recognition, and accreditation of nuclear professionals.
By partnering with the summit, the Nuclear Institute is helping to support project delivery, promote best practice, and strengthen the capability required to scale advanced nuclear across the UK.
