Becoming a Member (MNucI) of our thriving professional community provides independent verification of your nuclear professionalism, whatever your specialism, job role and work context.
Nuclear professionals working at all levels in the nuclear sector and its supply chain. You need to have at least 2 years’ postgraduate experience in the Nuclear sector (if you’re less experienced, or have been working at an apprenticeship level, we’d welcome you to join at the Associate grade).
NI Members are practising nuclear professionals from a wide range of technical and non-technical disciplines, who apply personal behavioural standards and exercise judgement based on an understanding of the Nuclear Professionalism Standard, as applicable to their role and work context, to ensure their decisions and actions support nuclear safety and security, both now and in the future.
NI Members also commit to comply with the NI Code of Conduct.
Recognition as a professional Member (MNucI) of the NI provides independent verification of your nuclear professionalism, whatever your specialism, job role and work context.
If you don’t have an NI Member or mentor working with you on your application and you’re not sure if you’re at the right level to apply, or aren’t sure how to demonstrate that you meet the criteria, we’re here to help! We will have an expert pre-assess your suitability and give you suggestions on how to have the best chance of being accepted.
Please send your CV and any specific questions that you have to membership@nuclearinst.com with the subject line “Pre-assessment request”.
If you are an Affiliate or Associate, we recommend our self-service mentor matching platform to find a dedicated member to discuss your application with. Just choose the relevant competency from the pre-set “hard skills” list when creating your profile (“support for applying for Member or Fellow”, “support for applying for CEng”, etc).
