A key goal of the Digital Special Interest Group (DIGSIG) is to provide a significant forum for industry-leading debate and ideas to promote and drive cohesive Digital development across all aspects of the nuclear industry. The group is an Affiliate member of Nima (formerly the UK BIM Alliance).

The AI4Nuclear sub-group has been set up within the Digital Special Interest Group to assist the nuclear energy sector with adoption of novel AI technologies and align with the National AI Strategy and meet the challenges of increasing safety whilst reducing cost across the whole life cycle of nuclear facilities.

The Geospatial Information System Special Interest Group (GIS SIG) exists to help develop a best practice Geospatial Information System (GIS) community within the nuclear industry. The vision is to continually evolve best practice between organisations through: knowledge sharing within the sector, and; knowledge transfer from other sectors.
This group recognises a specific, growing need within the industry, and supports the DIGSIG to embrace the wider digital skills and knowledge challenge.
