Papers needed for Nuclear Future Special Issue

The NI journal Nuclear Future will be publishing a Special Issue on Transport of Radioactive Material in the spring.

Extra editions are to be distributed at RAMTrans2015 - a major event in the transport and storage calendar!

The Editorial Board would like to welcome authors to submit papers to Nuclear Future for a special issue which will also be distributed at the RAMTrans 2015 conference in May. The issue will be themed ‘Transport of Radioactive Material’ to encompass a range of topics including, but not limited to:

  • the regulatory issues (UK and overseas imports/exports),
  • the development needs to meet requirements for fissile material transport,
  • state-of-the-art packaging designs for the transport of radioactive material,
  • testing and modelling of radioactive material packaging (including resistance to mechanical and thermal stresses) and,
  • public acceptability of the movement of radioactive materials.
