Women in Nuclear UK Press Release - Annual awards

Women in Nuclear UK Press Release

Issue date: Wednesday 7 November

Women in Nuclear UK has begun the search for the winners of its annual awards, which will be presented at its conference in January 2018.

The awards, launched in 2017, are searching for the people who have gone above and beyond to promote gender balance and diversity across the nuclear sector.

The three categories are Champion of the Year, Ally of the Year and Mission Possible.  Awards will be judged by a panel of people from across the sector, including WiN UK’s Patron, Adrienne Kelbie and its President, Jack Gritt.

Jack Gritt, President of Women in Nuclear UK, said:

“We launched the awards in 2017 and chose the people we felt had really helped WiN UK in its mission. This year, we want industry to recognise their peers. The awards are open to anyone who feels they fit the description outlined in the award category. You can either make the entry yourself, or you can nominate another person. We want to find the people who have really made a difference, so we can share their experiences with the rest of the industry.”

The Awards ceremony will take place at the fourth annual WiN UK Conference, which will take place in London on 31 January 2018.
