Nominate the Science Council's 100 Leading Scientists for 2016

In 2014 the Science Council, in partnership with member organisations, including the Nuclear Institute, compiled a list of 100 leading practising scientists in the UK. From explorer scientists to entrepreneurs, from teachers to policy makers, these people represent some of the best professional scientists working in the UK today.

It’s now time to refresh this list, to celebrate new talent and affirm those still leading the professional practice of science in the UK.

Nominate Your Choice for the UK's Leading Scientist

Do you have any members that deserve recognition as a leading scientist in their field? What kind of scientist are they? Guided by the Science Council's '10 Types of Scientist' and competencies for our professional registers, the 2016 list will identify and commend the leading role that current practising scientists make to their profession, the economy and wider society.

You can nominate your choice by following this link. On the page you will also find some helpful guidance and the judging criteria. Be sure to explain what makes them a leader in their field and why they deserve recognition.

Nominations Deadline

Nominations will remain open until Tuesday 1st September 2015. We look forward to receiving your nominations.
