2015 Search for the Nuclear Stars of the Future

The National Skills Academy Nuclear (NSAN) and Cogent Skills are looking for nominations to find the 2015 nuclear stars of the future. The winners of the awards, who will receive free Learned Membership of the Nuclear Institute, will be announced at the UK Nuclear Skills Awards on the 10th March 2016 in Manchester.

The NSAN awards for the Foundation Degree/HND Student of the Year and UK Nuclear Graduate of the Year categories will remain the same as in previous years. Following feedback, the categories for the NSAN Apprenticeship nominations have changed from Regional to Discipline specific.

Nominations are welcome for apprentices who work in the following Disciplines:

  • Nuclear Construction and Civil Apprentice of the Year
  • Nuclear Design Apprentice of the Year
  • Nuclear Maintenance Apprentice of the Year
  • Nuclear Manufacturing Apprentice of the Year
  • Nuclear Scientific Apprentice of the Year
  • Nuclear Support Apprentice of the Year

The winners of the Apprenticeship categories will all be entered into the prestigious and highly coveted title of Nuclear Apprentice of the Year.  In all categories NSAN are looking for individuals who have gone beyond everyone’s expectations, or have demonstrated huge improvement throughout their studies.

Cogent Skills award will be looking for the Nuclear STEM Ambassador who has gone the extra mile.

This year all the category winners will also receive free Learned Membership of The Nuclear Institute, enabling the winners to take advantage of a host of benefits including professional development opportunities, career support, event discounts, and free bi-monthly copies of our renowned journal Nuclear Future.

The winners will be able to upgrade to Professional membership of NI for free by successfully demonstrating the requirements of the Nuclear Delta™ at interview opening the door to professional registration with the Science Council and Engineering Council as well as enhanced member benefits.

The UK Nuclear Skills Awards Dinner is a firm favourite on the nuclear event calendar, and early booking is encouraged to avoid disappointment.  Bookings can be made through NSAN or Cogent Skills.
