RAMTrans 2024: Transport, Storage and Disposal of Radioactive Materials

This conference, supported by platinum sponsor Nuclear Transport Solutions, is dedicated to all aspects of packaging for the transport, storage and disposal of radioactive and nuclear materials. We are thrilled to see the long-awaited return of RAMTrans, the first iteration of the event since 2018.

With the anticipated growth of new nuclear technologies such as small modular reactors and fusion energy, plus the ongoing needs of decommissioning facilities, the nuclear transport sector will play a vital role internationally, enabling the growth of the global nuclear industry in the coming decades.

RAMTrans 2024 will provide an international forum for designers, operators, research organisations and regulators from around the world to share their expertise on successes and challenges, plus an excellent place to renew and develop professional and business contacts.

Curated by a Steering Committee made up of leading professionals from the nuclear transport sector in the UK and Europe, RAMTrans 2024 will feature over 40 unique oral and poster presentations. As with previous conferences in this series, the programme will be complemented by a trade exhibition in which suppliers of relevant products and services are invited to participate.

The conference will be attended by representatives from: GNS, Nuclear Transport Solutions, AWE, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, EDF Energy, BAM Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, ASN (Autorité de Sûreté Nucléaire), Jacobs, Arup, Frazer-Nash Consultancy, Rolls Royce, Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, CEA Cadarache and many more to be confirmed.

Agenda and Speakers

The provisional agenda is now available. This is subject to change and will be updated here as sessions and speakers are confirmed. See the Attending the Conference tab below for timings of the supporting activities of the conference.
