Heather Lewtas
Heather is the Strategic Operations Manager for STEP (Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production) at UKAEA. STEP is an ambitious programme to design and construct a prototype fusion energy plant, targeting operations around 2040. Previously she was the Programme Manager for the Joining and Advanced Manufacturing Technology Labs and was Lead for Manufacturing on the UKAEA STEP programme.
Fanny Fouin
Fanny is Assystem’s Nuclear Fusion Technical Lead and has been with the organisation since 2013. With extensive experience in design and integration activities, Fanny specialises in mechanical engineering design, requirements management, remote handling equipment and critical concept analysis.
Recently, Fanny has led several projects to support the UK Atomic Energy Authority’s STEP (Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production) programme which aims to prove the commercial viability of nuclear fusion power.
