The Environment Agency is recruiting a Senior Nuclear Assessor to join our Nuclear Waste Assessment Team. We regulate the disposal of radioactive waste in the nuclear industry across England, providing specialist technical advice and support.

Responsibilities:
- Lead technical assessments for proposed and existing radioactive waste disposal facilities.
- Contribute to nuclear waste management policy and guidance development.
- Assess radioactive waste management for new reactor designs and nuclear power stations.
Requirements:
- Scientific Degree or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in treating, conditioning, and disposing of solid radioactive waste.
- Ability to analyze technical proposals and safety cases.
- Strong decision-making and prioritization skills.
- Excellent technical report writing and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Full UK driving license for travel.
