Job Description

We are looking to grow our support to nuclear power generation, new build, defence nuclear, decommissioning, legacy plants and radioactive waste management clients across the UK and are looking for Nuclear Safety Assurance Professionals at all levels of experience.

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a good degree in a Science, Technology or Engineering discipline and a will have a desire to develop Nuclear Safety Assurance skills to support civilian nuclear power generation, the naval nuclear programme, defence nuclear sites or nuclear decommissioning and waste management.

Senior applicants will be expected to hold detailed knowledge within one or more of the following areas:

  • Safety Management & Planning
  • Safety Case Production
  • Safety & Risk Assessment
  • Deterministic Safety Assessment
  • Probabilistic Safety Assessment
  • Nuclear Safety Legislation, Regulation and Policy
  • Engineering Substantiation
  • INSA/ISA

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator who is able to interact with clients, colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. The candidate should have a desire to take technical leadership and project management responsibility. 

We expect all staff to manage both commercial and programme aspects of the projects that they are involved with. Commercial and project management skills are therefore desired attributes but are not essential as training will be provided where required.

Some experience in business development is also desirable.

The senior roles will involve elements of supervision and coaching of other staff.
