Scope
To collaborate, promote and share relevant good practices and maintenance techniques to ensure reliability and safe operation of plant and equipment within the industry.
Objectives
- Share MMWG members' maintenance work practices to identify ‘relevant good practice’ and determine the feasibility of implementing such practices within each organisation.
- Share information relating to items of equipment/ consumables in an endeavour to produce good practice guidance that may become an Industry Standard.
- Discuss ongoing developments that would benefit/improve the safety standards within the MMWG member communities
- Offer an independent maintenance subject matter peer review capability.
- Carry out investigations and collaborate on new technologies that are available for utilisation to improve maintenance delivery.
- Coordinate where appropriate with other relevant MMWG Forums, the American MMWG and other national/ international bodies for the purpose of promoting industry-relevant good practice and learning.
- Share information and learning about abnormal events and incidents involving plant equipment and people.
- To establish sub-groups that will focus on agreed collaborative working opportunities.
