Welcome to the Nuclear Institute

NI is a charity (charity number 1125404) whose objects are designed to allow it to work with its members to provide education and training, run events, offer services and develop expertise for the benefit of its members and the public as a whole.

The Nuclear Institute has developed its 'Nuclear Delta' which identifies the core competencies for those working within the sector at whatever level and whatever their discipline. It also means that the public are able to better understand what makes people who work within the sector different to those in other industries.

Members include engineers, scientists,technicians and support staff drawn from the civil and the defence sectors and because of this the NI understands and represents the whole of the UK’s nuclear industry.
