We are currently recruiting fo a Quality Engineer with experience in the Nuclear industry. 

The role is working within the Operation Site Work project at Sellafield, as part of the OneAim OSW joint venture. The work will be to provide support to the quality function in the delivery of multi discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) projects across the Sellafield Site. 

This work will entail co-ordinating with the client and supply chain in reviewing/accepting project quality requirements, creating/reviewing quality documentation and managing quality issues within the project. 

Responsibilities 

  • Monitoring of the production processes and doing periodic Quality Control checks. 
  • Working together with internal and client project leaders to discuss solutions to quality issues. 
  • Satisfying customer expectations about the product's quality. 
  • Creating production quality plans for projects to guarantee quality from stage one. 
  • Scheduling project plans along with the project team to fit project deadlines 
  • Assessing the supply chain using supplier reviews, audits and performance review tools. 
  • Investigating causes of quality problems and proposing solutions. 

Accountabilities 

  • Able to source and locate LTR documentation from within the organisations Quality Management System. 
  • Working as part of a project delivery team to deliver targets to a tight timescale. 
  • Advising and policing of the companies ISO 9001 quality system. 
  • Accountable for the interpretation and application of Sellafield Limited quality requirements. 



Skills / Qualifications 
Essential skills 

  • Good communication Skills. 
  • Can work to your own initiative. 
  • Able to carry out self-checking procedures. 
  • Ability to develop good working relationships within the OSW. 
  • Work to identified OSW management procedures. 
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word & Excel software. 

Desirable Skills 

  • Have (or able too) secure Sellafield site clearance. 
  • Familiar with SL Quality Management procedures and LTR requirements. 
  • Relevant Sellafield Site Experience.
