Melissa Loyley

Melissa Loyley was the 2015 YGN Chair, having become involved with the YGN during 2010. During her time on the committee she has helped organise several successful Seminars and Annual Dinners and in 2013 took over the role of organising Engineering Your Future events. Melissa continues to organise the Day Seminar and Annual Dinner’s as well as assisting in the organisation of several YGN Seminars and site tours for ENYGF2017.

Melissa is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer working within the Decommissioning, Defence & Energy division at Ansaldo NES. Working with an enthusiastic group of volunteers, such as the YGN, brings another dimension to working in the industry, building networks and supporting the development of those new to the industry is a fulfilling aspect of her YGN involvement. The role of Chair brought new challenges that enhanced her communication and influencing skills and well as allowed her to attend and speak at several events that her day to day role would not have been able to provide, e.g. Panellist at Waste Management Symposium in Phoenix, Arizona in 2016.
