In April, the Nuclear Institute launched its 5-year strategy for growth, development, and promotion of nuclear professionalism. To meet the targets laid out in the NI strategy we are growing our staff team with several new roles designed to revamp the Institute’s operations and drive the core objectives of the strategy: Supporting Nuclear Professionalism; Advancing Understanding; & Giving Members More.

Operations and Financial Controller

In line with the expected growth of the nuclear industry, the NI is aiming to expand and as part of its growth strategy, the NI is recruiting a number of staff posts, including an Operations and Finance Controller. This is a key role for the organisation with its main responsibilities of implementing and supporting the strategic growth plan.  The role will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for motivating and managing a small team.  The post holder will act as the CEO’s deputy and manage all operational and financial activities of the Institute in line with the NI’s strategic and business plans.  The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant with a flexible, can do attitude who is willing to roll up their sleeves and tackle operational issues as well as manage all financial activities.

Membership Officer

Working as part of a team of two, you will be responsible for the membership function of the Nuclear Institute. As part of the Institute's strategy for growth, the next five years are expected to see a major increase in membership numbers with the Institute firmly focussed on ensuring each and every member receives the highest quality of service. In this role you will be responsible for responding to membership queries in a timely manner, processing membership applications and working closely with the NI Membership Committee to ensure best practice processes are developed and adhered to at all times.
