Incorporated Engineer

The Nuclear Institute holds a licence from the Engineering Council to register professionals as Incorporated Engineers:

Professional registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) recognises your proven competence, commitment, skills and experience. It is an important milestone in the career of any engineer or technologist. In particular, IEng registration shows your employer and peers that you have demonstrated a commitment to professional standards, and to developing and enhancing your competence. Do you:

  • maintain and manage applications of current and developing technology?
  • apply existing and emerging technology in your work?
  • solve engineering problems?
  • contribute to continuous improvement in your business processes?
  • manage the planning, budgeting and organisation of tasks, people and resources?
  • have involvement in design, development, manufacture, construction and operation?

If the answer is yes, then you deserve to see your professionalism recognised – by gaining the title Incorporated Engineer.
