Jack Edwards Prize: Best Technician

The Jack Edwards Prize is annually awarded by the Nuclear Institute to the Best Technician working in the nuclear industry. This annual award was first instituted in 2004.

The award is £250 prize money, a signed NI commemorative certificate, and a year’s membership of the NI at Member grade. Employers and training providers are invited to propose suitable winners for the prize.

The prize will be presented at the NI/NIA Nuclear Annual Dinner, with the prize winner attending the event for free.

The selection and decision on the award is undertaken by the NI Education & Training Committee.

NI Young Professionals Award: Rising Stars

The NI Young Professionals Award is a new award from the Nuclear Institute aimed at the rising stars of the UK nuclear industry. It is aimed at personnel who are within the first 10 years of their nuclear career, who have already achieved success and who are seen as the future leaders of the industry.

Employers are invited to propose suitable winners for the prize.

The proposed award is £250 prize money, a signed NI commemorative certificate presented at the NI/NIA Nuclear Annual Dinner.

The selection and decision on the award is undertaken by the NI Education & Training Committee.

NI Young Technician/Apprentice Award: Rising Stars

The NI Young Technician/Apprentice Award is a new award from the Nuclear Institute aimed at the rising stars of the UK nuclear industry who are training as an apprentice or recently qualified as a new technician. It is aimed at personnel who display excellence and are seen as a future leader of the industry.

Employers and training providers are invited to propose suitable winners for the prize.

The award is £250 prize money and a signed NI commemorative certificate, to be presented at the YGN Annual Dinner with the prize winner attending the event free.

The selection and decision on the award is undertaken by the NI Education & Training Committee.
