Scotland Branch Young Speakers' Competition

The Nuclear Institute Scotland Branch, in association with the Young Generation Network, invite you to attend the 2018:

 Presentation Competition for Young Speakers - kindly sponsored by Doosan Babcock

The competition takes place on 7 August 2018 and will feature presentations from the six finalists on a topic of their choice related to nuclear science and technology.

Debbie McCallum (Doosan Babcock) - Can the NDA recover from the reputational damage caused by the Magnox procurement scandal?

Euan Maclean (Doosan Babcock) - An introductory insight into project engineering and quality assurance in the nuclear industry

Greg Campbell (Wood) - Nuclear energy in the defence industry

Joe Blair (Wood) - Counterfeit equipment in the nuclear industry

Josh Findlay (University of Strathclyde) - A UK strategy for complete de-carbonisation of the grid

Momchil Vasilev (University of Strathclyde) - Robotic and sensing enabled welding – "inspect while you weld"
