Progress with Construction and Engineering at Hinkley Point C NPP

The webinar will provide an overview of the progress of Hinkley Point C, the largest and most complex construction project in Europe to build two of the most powerful reactors in the world. There will be a focus on the engineering and nuclear safety duty of the systems and structures currently in construction, including how the integrity of such structures is ensured. Some of the unique features of the EPR design currently in construction on site which make it a generation III reactor, such as the ability to contain and cool molten corium will be discussed. The dynamic approach of the Hinkley Point C project to Covid-19 will also be briefly detailed.
