CONFERENCE AGENDA

The day will start with a pre-conference nuclear matchmaking event - a chance to meet potential partners and see how your business can benefit in this sector.

Supported by Enterprise Europe Network, this FREE breakfast session is the perfect way to grow your business by connecting with other businesses. Be sure to register!

To kick the conference off, the Chair of the Nuclear Industry Association, Matt Burley, will set the scene in terms of the UK nuclear industry, including how the nuclear sector deal is positively impacting the growth of the industry.

Our keynote speaker Lord Hutton of the Nuclear Industry Council and Association will give a more detailed overview of the state of affairs nationally. Lord Hutton has held a number of ministerial positions over his 18 year career and is well placed to deliver an interesting and unique overview of this sector.

Throughout the event we’ve a wealth of experienced speakers sharing insight into various aspects of the sector. One question that affects us all - how will Brexit effect the Nuclear Industry? Ian Truman, part of the Nuclear Association Brexit Working Group, will share his specialised knowledge on this topic.

David Eccles of EDF energy will talk about the Hinkley Point C’s project. As the man in the middle of it all, David’s experience with the various stakeholders of the project should provide scintillating information on the different aspects of the project. A military man of over thirty years, you can guarantee he will deliver a succinct overview!

To continue discussing Hinkley Point C, Nick Golding will take the stand to talk about the supply chain programme. Nick has a background in various blue chip companies in the aerospace and marine industries giving him a wealth of knowledge on improving individual and company supply chains. We’re sure this will leave you with plenty to chat about over coffee in the short refreshment break or during the lunch provided.

We’re still confirming the full list of speakers so watch this space for more information as the event draws nearer, hopefully we’ve already caught your interest!

If you want to fully immerse yourself among companies and individuals in the Nuclear world or find yourself at a loose end the evening prior, there is an arranged dinner that you can attend for a small fee.
