a city the size of Greater London by 2025. Horizon Nuclear Power's choice of reactor technology from the field of advanced reactors available today will ensure that its energy is produced with unparalleled regard to safety, and with unprecedented levels of reliability. Horizon aims to play a key role in developing new nuclear plants in the UK, with the first unit coming online around 2020, to help the UK meet its challenging energy and climate targets. Horizon Nuclear Power intends to achieve this ambitious goal through uncompromising levels of safety and security through its operations, and by seeking out and utilising international best practice from across the nuclear industry.
