Anthony McGrath

Anthony graduated from Queen's University Belfast with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He joined the nucleargraduates in September 2010 and gained experience in decommissioning, commercial projects and power generation through secondments with Sellafield Ltd, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Ltd. During his time on the graduate programme, Anthony established and led the nucleargraduates On Campus Recruiting team which carried recruitment and educational activities at 25 university campuses across the UK. Subsequently Anthony joined Sellafield Ltd in 2013 as a Systems Engineer within its Operations Division.

Anthony has been an NI member since 2010 and been an active volunteer with the YGN since 2012. During his time on the committee he has been the Committee Secretary, an Event Leader (Waste Management and Decommissioning), taken a lead on University Engagement and has also supported various other events, such as Engineering Your Future. 

Anthony is working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Engineering & Technology and is also a keen STEM Ambassador.
