Jack Edwards Prize: Best Technician

The Jack Edwards Prize is annually awarded by the Nuclear Institute to the Best Technician working in the nuclear industry. This annual award was first instituted in 2004.

The award is £250 prize money, a signed NI commemorative certificate, and a year’s membership of the NI at Member grade. Employers and training providers are invited to propose suitable winners for the prize (see below).

The prize will be presented at the NI/NIA Dinner, with the prize winner attending the event for free.

The selection and decision on the award is undertaken by the NI Education & Training Committee.


The deadline for nominations is 31 October 2016. Completed nomination forms should be returned to communications@nuclearinst.com by this date. Late entries will not be accepted.
