Once again, this ever popular free tour is being kindly hosted by Cammell Laird, Birkenhead. The tour will involve visiting the construction hall and bays 15-16 to look at the developments of the RRS Sir David Attenborough, the docks and their berths, the research and development facility and finally a presentation on advanced modularisation in the nuclear sector by Chief Nuclear Engineer, John Eldridge.

The evening will consist of a talk given by Professor Howard Wilson titled “Meeting the Challenge of Fusion Power”, followed by an opportunity to network.
TopSafe 2017 provides a forum for addressing the current status and future perspectives with regards to safety at Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs), Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), Research Reactors (RRs) and other nuclear installations. TopSafe 2017 will be organised in collaboration with the IAEA and will take place at the IAEA Headquarters in Vienna.
The NI Cumbria branch is pleased to present the 2017 annual dinner, due to take place on Thursday 16th February 2017 at the Energus Facility in Workington, in aid of ‘Think Pink’. A three course dinner will be followed by a speech from Adriènne Kelby and after dinner entertainment.
