On 29 September 2016, the NI YGN Young Person Speaking Competition 2016 will come to a close with the winners of the NI regional branch speaking competitions presenting to a panel of expert judges for the prize of being crowned NI YGN Public Speaking Champion 2016. The grand final will take place at the DWF LLP offices in Manchester and is free for all to attend.
Event times, the finalists and their chosen topics have now been confirmed and can be viewed on the event poster.
There will be drinks and canapés available on the night for the audience, served from 5:30PM. The event will start at 6PM.

The NI YGN Young Person Speaking Competition an annual event, organised and run by the YGN, which gives young members of the nuclear industry a chance to practice their public speaking skills and compete for the 1st prize of £300 in cash.
To qualify for a place at the national final, the speakers have won their respective regional heats hosted earlier in the year by the nine regional branches of the Nuclear Institute. Winning a regional heat is in itself an incredible achievement given that the calibre of entrants at the regional heats is exceptional.
At the final, the speakers will be judged on the quality of their oral presentation and talk construction, their use and clarity of visual aids and finally their performance in the Q&A sessions.
